Trump is set to brief the nation at the White House with Dr. Deborah Birx which would likely happen before Monday or sometime next week. As cases continue to rise rapidly Trump’s administration has decided an alternative measure.
Since the coronavirus isn’t going anywhere any time soon, officials say that we need to find a way to live with it.
Therapeutic medications will be highlighted as a crucial component for doing so, and the White House will further stress the comparatively low risk of death from the virus that most Americans are at, officials said.
The message in recent weeks has been that the country is stable, face coverings and social distancing are optional, even as the number of cases of coronavirus has surged across the world.
Trump is expected to be briefed by Dr. Deborah Birx, one of the most visible members of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, before Monday on her assessment of new hot spots that she’s visited this week, including what governors have said they need and how the new surge is affecting minority communities, officials said. Birx was in Florida, Texas and Arizona this week.
